Mr B was a passenger in a vehicle that was parked on the side of Tottenham High road. The driver opened the door of the car causing a bus to collide into the door and the entire offside of the vehicle. Mr B searched for personal injury solicitorsin London and he came across Clearwater Solicitors. The file was accepted by Clearwater Solicitors and his case was allocated to firm partner Mr Yaqub. The claim was submitted onto the portal.
After reviewing CCTV footage the third party insurers accepted that there was a collision between the open door of the vehicle Mr B was sat in and the bus, but they did not accept that the collision caused any unusual movement in either vehicle to cause an injury. Therefore, they were insinuating our client’s claim was fraudulent. They confirmed that they had no offers to make in regards to Mr B’s personal injury claim.
Mr Yaqub contacted the third party insurers and they advised that they wanted a description of the road traffic accidentfrom Mr B. Mr Yaqub obtained this, photographs of the damaged vehicle from Mr B and also engineering evidence that the vehicle was recorded as a category C total loss. He sent these to the third aprty insurers and invited them to accept liability. The third party did not respond to any of Mr Yaqub’s letters so he began to issue proceedings against the third party driver. The case went to court and the judge ordered that the third party pay Mr B £1453.00 compensation. Mr B was very happy with this.
