Agricultural Sector Accident Compensation

While most sectors are seeing a decrease in the number of accident at work compensation claims, workplace injuries and fatal accidents they see, figures have remained relatively steady in the agricultural industry. Almost one worker in the sector dies every week, Health and Safety Executive (HSE) statistics reveal – the decade between 1999/2000 and 2008/09 saw 436 fatal accidents in the agriculture setting, or an average of 43 deaths a year.
